Hey all,

I was wondering which member posts make it in the newsletter, and which don't ?
You see, I posted 2 things outside the lessons last month.
-Opus de Funk
-my end result of shipsong. (together with my path getting there)

But I see they are not in the newsletter.
Please, Don't get me wrong. It's not that I think these are wonderful versions of the songs, I'm no professional player, and these pieces show that. But for me they are small victories. And I post them to get some feedback.
I didn't receive a lot of feedback, which I understand, since there is so much on the site. I neither don't manage to listen to everything. That's why always count on the newsletter to see perhaps the things I missed.

I hope I'm not giving the impression of pushing too much, it's not my intention. I just want to learn from everyone's feedback. This ste is a major player in giving me daily enthousiasme and courage to keep on playing, learning. And I thank all the creators for that.

greetings,
Stefan.

Hey Stefan,

The only person you can blame for the newsletter contents... is ME! :o)

I'm responsible for the choices of what will be inserted on it or not... for better or worth. I must admit these days I'm very very busy, and I can't follow all the posts, listen to all the tunes, etc. I couldn't even follow the TOTM this time and didn't touch my vibes for a long time...

I feel bad about forgetting you, especially as you might be the member who posts the most on the site! Maybe even more than Dimitri, which is something! ;-) I'm totally in awe with your perseverence and bravery!

As Tony didn't send the newseletter yet to everyone, and that's it's still only a blog on the site, I could modify it and added your Opus de Funk.

So I hope all is ok now! Again I'm sorry about forgetting you!

One last thing: I try to maintain one rule, which is to never post more than one tune per member on each newsletter. So if one month there is one post you would like to see more than others in the newsletter, just let me know. And this is also valid for every member. I do my best to give a place to every one... but it seems I sometimes screw up.

Keep it up Stefan!! You're a great example for us all!

Marie

Thanks for adding Opus.

I hope you are going through a nice kind of busy-ness. The TOTM lessons seem to be exploded in quantiy indeed. I'm slowly starting with the wrap up lesson.......of the previous TOTM (satin doll).
And please, touch the vibes !!! :-) Who said it again, "even if it is only 10 minutes !".
I sometimes do that. take the cover of, try somethings, and have to stop again quickly for who knows what reason. But it keeps me thinking about playing.

Currently I post a lot, not really because my outcome is a lot, but mostly to prevent on re-taking stuff too late.
I get feedback, work on it, and post the results of that. So I got sometimes 10 posts for 1 lesson. Else I'm afraid I post after 2 weeks, and then it seems I've been practising some things wrong, and I'm set back 2 weeks. How I do it now, makes me feel I can quickly change what needs to be changed and move on.

Thanks for the tip of 1 post/member. That makes sence, and is honest. If I feel a certain post is more important to me then another I'll let you know.
But certainely, don't feel bad. You're doing wonderful things for the community !

It's a bit weird to be seen as an example, because it's this site itself that makes me do what I do. Without it, I'm sure far away from being an example regarding vibe-learning.

It's really a thank you from me to everyone at VW.COM.

Greetings,
Stefan.

I'll try to remember the 5-10 mn rule! Even for messing around on the bars!... Even if it only lasts 1 single stupid little mn... You're right: it's better than nothing! ;-)
