Ok, I know I'm too early posting this, but I have a gig tomorrow for which I have to leave somewhere in the afternoon because of traffic, so I thought I'd post this quick version of Woody N You.

To Be honest, I didn't really study this tune a lot this week, so it's just a quick version, and I think the first Triet version...haha Well I think a fourth track of vibes will really make you nuts!

I actually wanted to arrange a version for 3 vibes with some contra lines etc. So I'll put that on my to-do list.

That's a funny take! This bass track sounds like a steam train! Yeah "nuts" is a word I might have chosen!
I like it!

i love this version. i get pissed because i miss a lot of stuff on the site. and just accidentally came here and so i hit play. you did a great job. isn't it cool doing duets and trios with yourself?

but..... one of us is playing the bridge wrong. i hope it's you. is it?? i just checked and i'm playing like tommy flannagan is, so i'm thinking it's you!

phew.. you scared me when i heard this.

Hey Tony,

You're talking about the melody in the 3rd and 7th bar of the bridge, right?

I'm pretty sure that I'm wrong. I transcribed it pretty quick and this melody I play probably sounded like it was right. Sometimes my ears trick me whith little chromatic stuff... I'll check it out again!

Hey Tony,

Well I wasn't totally wrong... I just messed up one note in the bridge in the 3rd and 7th bar. It goes all the way down the minor 7th chord. And I played 9 - 7 - 5 - 4 to the b9 of the dominant(so chromatic).

But what you said was true. I started the bridge(and also the 3rd bar) on Eb in stead of Bb. ut I'm playing it in the key of Gb. When I learned the tune I just started on a note and played it in that key. So it is that easy playing this tune in 12 keys I guess! haha
