I play a very decent set of Deagan vibes at my practice location but my home set is a cheapy Kosth and not very nice sounding at all. I've been thinking of buying a good used set, and had kind of set on $2500 as a budget, not including going and picking them up wherever that would be... I was also pretty intent on a Musser or Yamaha with graduated bars.

I found this set online and I'm not really familiar with this brand. I don't want another cheap sounding piece of crap. Any advice...???
It has graduated bars but it looks no less flimsy than my current set.

though it says it's a jenco, I can't find any nameplate, and it looks SCARINGLY like the leedy vibraphone on exhibition at the PAS museum (the first vibraphone ever made):

I have decided to part ways with my Yamaha YV-2700 vibraphone. Not the easiest decision, but I would rather see it enter a loving home than sit in storage indefinitely. I am having to SERIOUSLY pare down belongings in trying to make a permanent move from Houston to New York City in the next 12-18 months.

I own a Deagan Vibraharp No. 35 Rondo, and I am trying to find out how much it is worth. I have contacted the Deagan factory in Chicago and was told by Mr.Serna that he would hold it in his show room and give me $450-600 if it was sold. This leads me to believe it is worth much more than that since he would be taking a cut out of the sale as well. Does anyone have ideas or resources to find the amount it is worth? I have searched high and low, but am having troubles coming up with any solid numbers. I will post a link to my model instrument (not my instrument in particular).
