An original tune titled Cream Pie. Slightly inspired by Dexter Gordon's tune Cheese Cake. Joe Zarr - Soprano, Joe Karwacki - Bass, Damian Allis - Drums and Matthew Rockwell Sokolic - randomly hitting some metal!
Here's the solo vibe piece that goes with the Misty Lesson. There are some serious challenges in it.
Here's a lesson I wrote years ago on Misty. I had permission from the owner who was Erroll Garner's wife. Then it turned out that she sold it to Warner Brothers. I contacted Warner Bros. and I paid them and they issued me a license for the licensing giving me permission for this lesson and then I got a letter from Hal Leonard stating that they owned the rights to it so I just gave up. But I think it's okay to share with y'all.
Anthropology is not an easy tune. But learn it any way :-).
Hi vibes friend today I'd like to present my transcription of the head of Falling Grace (Swallow) as played by Gary Burton in this video:

Unfortunately there's no description in the video but I think it was recorded in the '90.
Thanks a lot for watching and remember to follow me on Facebook Instagram and Youtube!

This is a tune I recently recorded with a pianist on his grad recital. I have this and some other recordings I've done over the years on my website now:
Benny Golson, Philly native sax player, composer and arranger was in town for Penn States annual jazz festival 10 days ago. Benny wrote many classics including Killer Joe, Whisper Not, and I Remember Clifford. At 90 years of age, he still played great sax solos and told rambling stories about how he came to write each song. It was great inspiration for guys in our band, several of whom are in their nineties, to see Benny still going strong. His work is all over YouTube, including Lionel Hampton introducing Benny’s rendition of I Remember Clifford.
Check out Dewey Square. It's a Parker tune. It's an AABA tune where there's no melody on the bridge, so you have to solo. I did a chord melody on the A Sections. You figure out something for the bridge. I can help if you are stuck. I played it and talked about it here.
Here's an attempt at Tony's H1CH thing. I'm not sure if it's a technically a chord melody because I break up the melody and chords most of the time.
