Hey all---looking over this selection of info on the xylophone in soloist situations, I am inspired to share my recordings--free download--on the instrument in a rather daring manner. Though I am primarily a vibraphonist in the free jazz and new music circle in NYC, I have always played xylophone and continue to love this ax. Here is 'Radio NOIR', my quartet from a few years ago, playing our rendition of "Temptation"; there are several other cuts here as well and if you go further into the band's ReverbNation page you'll find video as well. This was my moment to bring the xylophone solo styles of George Hamilton Green and Red Norvo into a more avant garde genre. Radio NOIR: John Pietaro - xylophone, percussion; Quincy Saul -clarinet; Javier Hernandez-Miyares -electric guitar; Laurie Towers - electric bass
