Yeah, I got it just now. I did like Barry though, looked at all the markings and then kinda hummed it while reading the chart. Will try something with it tomorrow I guess. Think I will put it in BIAB for accompaniement and see what it is like.

p.s. bit of a problem converting, got most printing. Think I got enough to put into BIAB. WISH ME LUCK. ;_)

Ok, I got it in BIAB. Couldn't find a rhythm of Sikyi beat so I just put it in an Afro that your bass line seemed to fit. The bridge is in swing. Question: Does tune stay that way all the time??? Afro, Afro, Swing, Afro. Did you guys ever go into just swing and then end it in the Afro beat? I'll have to work a little bit to get BIAB to do that, but it can be done. OOPS I just read at the top that you did it bossa/swing. Your chart says African Sikyi beat. So I will change it to a bossa and see what happens. Don't know If I can record it, will try.

Nice tune -- would be a lot of fun to blow on. But the form of "Green Dolphin Street"? That's ABAC, this is AABA. Did mean mixed Latin/swing? Maybe a better example would've been "Night in Tunisia".

All that isn't meant to take away from what is a nice tune. And a good idea for sharing tunes.

How do we want to do that? It'd be nice to link the sharings together somehow. We could put the shared tunes in here as comments, but I think the tunes deserve pages of their own. How about we post on new pages, but include "original compostions .. swap meet" in the titles?

I hear a turnaround at the end of the first A section -- you have two measures of A-, I tend to hear it as A-///|B-7b5/E7b9/|. I think most people would just naturally put that in even if it isn't written.

In the bridge, I hear the melody note on the Eb7 chord as B, not C. C (natural 13) sounds really bright to me after the change from D-7 to Bb-7 -- the B (flat 13) makes it an altered chord/scale.
