The Modes in Detail - Phrygian

The phrygian scale is pretty cool because it has a minor 2nd between the root and the second scale degree. That gives it a very exotic sound!

如果拿Phrygian 音階和大調（major）音階來比較，Phrygian音階多了降2降3降6降7音。

在第一個音和第二個音中間是個半音，也因為這樣聽起來非常特別。

這個C為開頭音的Phrygian順階和弦，第一個和弦為Cminor 第二個和弦為Dbmajor

你可以聽到這樣的聲響在很多中東音樂、猶太音樂中等。

演奏大調音階跟Phrygian音階，比較看看。

通常在小調中會用到Phrygian，但是跟Dorian, Aeolian比，Phrygian最少用到。

Solo Transcriptions

Learning to play jazz is learning from the great players that played before us. In this section there will be transcriptions of great solos by great jazz players. Not only vibraphone solos, but all instruments. The idea is that you check what transcriptions are here and then first transcribe it yourself. When you transcribe, the best way is to learn the solo while you play along. This takes time but you will develop your ears more this way.
