Learn another one of Ed's great pieces.
Check out some great comping and soloing from Ed on vibes and some other great musicians.
I played a happy hour duo gig back in January. A friend captured this video and, even though its not my shiniest moment, I thought I would go ahead and post it for fun.
My friend Paul Metzger is playing with me.
I found this on YouTube the other day. It's a nice piece, but I don't know the group.
Anyone know?
There are a lot of potential solo gigs out there for vibes players at local eateries, cafes, street fairs, etc. Granted they don't pay much but it is a great opportunity to work on your repertoire and your solo chops.
Hey all,
I saw that Caramoor Music Festival is doing a VIBE SUMMIT with Bobby and Stefon Harris this summer (SAT AUG 7th- www.caramoor.org). The following day will be Elio Villafranca with Pat Martino (Tony, you on this gig with the Philly crew?).
Check this out!

A Canadian player who has played with many greats includung Benny Goodman. Here it looks like he's having fun. Nice understated sound.
CANNONBALL!
I have not been playing much lately (which is not really making me happy)...but anyway, I grabbed a few minutes and was thinking about the Stride Blues stuff that Tony & Ed had done. So I propped up my iPhone, and made a little video. The thing works great for these kind of practice videos! Thank you guys, for the inspiration...
