I am new here, and am looking for Musser vibes. I looked at the instruments for sale on this site, and see that almost all posts are over a year old! What gives? Is this site dieing?

I hope you will get soon to know more about this site, and enjoy all its resources and capacities. If you look a little closer you will probably realise it is quite far from dying!

Lessons posted nearly every day, monthly tune(s) to studdy (for susbcribers), dampening etudes posted and commented, discussions, shouts, links added by everyone each day on various subjects (videos, gear subjects, concerts to come, books or CD to be launched...), questions asked and answered, sometimes by masters of the instrument themselves, from David Friedman to Gary Burton.

As for instruments for sale, well we are not a "shop" or a "sales forum". We are a community. So what you will find is what people have to offer. I'm in charge of the monthly newsletter, and I remember linking instruments for sale nearly on every issue. The next one is to be sent to all normally this week end, but here is what was posted so far this month (even if not Musser):

- Jenco Vibes for sale: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/9517/
- Xylosynth 3 octaves for sales: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/9537/
- Musser Xylophone M51 Kelon: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/9538/
- Vibes for sale and long term rent: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/9560/

There you go Mandrew! I hope you soon get what you're hoping for!

first and foremost... the site is NOT dying!!! It is growning and getting better and stronger all the time. Welcome aboard!

What are you looking for specifically? Any particular model or vintage?

Also, how much are you thinking of paying?

Do you need it to be portable? Do you need cases? Does it have to be a 440 instrument, or is a 442 instument, like the newer ones, also ok?

Do you want a motor, or do you not care?

Where do you live?

Let us know. There are a couple of us here that are constantly catching and releasing instruments because we are vibes geeks. :) Just the other day, Behn and I were talking about a couple that we know of in the wild that you could catch if you have the $$ and they are what you want.
