This clip shows some simple examples to get a pseudo-salsa piano comping sound on the vibes. I've included a basic idea and a few variations. The last example is more of an exercise or short etude, and a transcript pdf file of that one is attached.

not too much vibes in it but i thought i post it anyway.caught from our last gig with the zappa cover band called dangerous kitchen. we recorded the whole gig so if you want there´s more to come :)
it´s so much fun to play in this band.i would love to play mallets there but there´s already a great guy doing this job.

Hey All,
For years I have wanted a marimba to play on occasional gigs and to have in my studio. But I didn't want a giant instrument that would take up a ton of room and I really didn't want to have to carry around a bunch of bars (at the two ends) that I only use occasionally.
The other day I had a Craigslist feeling and sure enough there was a 3 octave (interestingly G to G) Deagan Imperial for a few hundred bucks.
