The first of a few technique lessons I will be doing, this is on the grip I use, and why I think it is the best one.
In this video we apply the melodic structures into a basic Im-bVI-IIm7b5-V7alt minor cadence using the proper cell for each chord:
m7: 1-b3-4-5
Maj7: 1-2-3-5
m7b5: 1-b3-4-b5
dom7: 1-b9-3-5 or 1-b9-3-#5 or 1-#9-3-#5
