Neil is the percussionist with the London Symphony Orchestra. He's a great classical and jazz percussionist!
His percussion ensemble plays some amazing arrangements of jazz tunes!!!!!
Tony's having me do a solo tune every day, and I'm starting to post them. How I'm doing it is taking a tune I know well, record my first take and play it safe. I upload that one. Then experiment more on other takes and listen back and work on the stuff that I was experimenting with. So here is my first take where I play it safe.
"Once I Loved" by Antonio Carlos Jobim. One of my favorite songs by the great Brazilian composer. But then again, I love them all. :) I might take back the Picardy Third on the ending but it was too late once I played it. Ha!Ha!
Hello Vibes Workshop!!
This is a video of a song of mine called "Puddles".
It was inspired by my kids when they were little.
The group is called "The Neighborhood Trio". The video is circa 2011 and we
recorded it for a Minnesota Public TV show call "MInnesota Original". I hope you
enjoy it. It's a happy sounding piece.
We are still a band so if you're interested you can poke around our website at

Cheers

Red the poster for info.
This is the final step of our DIY vibraphone bar project.

Summary:
At first I was most afraid of fine-tuning and in the end it is a very simple process that follows logical considerations.
We actually only "lost" one bar when trying to tune at all - just by testing different things.
Here are the informations to step 6 of our DIY bar production.
Please go to

and follow Step 6.
In this post I am focussing on anodizing of the bar.
