I just got a mail today from Philippe Briand. For those who don't know him yet "Philippe" is a first hour subscriber and among our dear "young veterans". After decades of great jazz drum playing with the greatest, he started vibes over his 40's but has worked hard on it and become a fine player, member, and friend from my side.

Oh man... I got this from Joe Locatelli on Face Book... I missed this program early September... though the gig is from 2007... Remember, that same gig when they did "Old Folks".

01. Started learning to play mandolin at age four and went to one of the first music studios at age 17 to study the guitar, (3 months lessons @ 25 cents each & $1.00 a month to rent the guitar). after 3 months of intensive practice (no radios or TV's that time), the teacher said that I had to start taking advanced studies because I had completed the studio's beginner' program, and with no available cash, had to quit the program, but I continued to practice always.

This is swinging!
