Sometimes it's hard to call something reggae vibes when it's really just blowing jazz licks over a reggae rhythm. Here is another example of a track I discovered by Manu Dibango who is a African saxophonist who doubles on vibes and marimba. He has an album called "B Sides" that is strictly marimba playing except for this one trace that is a vibes feature. I don't think I'd call it African vibes playing, but I do like it for what it is.

with one foot in the jazz world as a vibist and one foot in the reggae world as a keyboardist is fun to see this post. Ive done a couple arrangements of some bob marley tunes for my jazz group and i must admit i love being the vocal role as a vibist and getting from behind the keyboards.

been thinking of a bob marley tribute ..
