Not much of a classical player but I always loved this pice.

Most of this piece can be adapted relatively easily to the vibes.

I have attached the sheet music, available for free online. I would love to hear other versions from members.

I started playing this, analyzing the chords and I am thinking I have played this before. I figured it out.

What standard is loosely based on this Chopin Prelude? Hint: It's a Bossa Nova.

I'm not sure which one you are thinking of yet (need more thought...hmmmm).

I'm glad you are going through it. Please do post a version when you're ready. FYI - I used to play this on my Deagan Aurora 1100 so it can be adapted to 3 octaves. Let me know if you need some help.

(don't speak about this comment of mine to 'M the Inquisitor', or I'm dead! ;o)

After long and careful consideration, I've decided that a T-Thong with Tony's face imposed on business end of it would send out a message to the world that simply doesn't suit my comfort level (not to mention how I would possibly explain it to Mrs. Keene). So I will simply accept that I did nothing more that beat someone else to posting the correct answer to a fairly well-known melody and that will be a prize in itself.

Bravo, Dana ! It's beautiful, but I won't even attempt it. I'm into the Bach piece right now, one or two bars and I'm suffering ! When I hear Ted Wolff and Barry breezing through it, I feel like a pack of thumbs. This classical stuff is not for me, I'm afraid. I'd need another life for that, ha ha !.
