Song For My Father by Dana Sudborough & Trio Montuno

I posted a few songs from the 2009 Mountain View concert series my group did on Thursday. We had played the same college 2 years ago resulting in the video of us playing Tin Tin Deo that up on YouTube.

I like this trio ....

...a really nice, equilateral group. Not having to compete with a drumset lets the mallet
instrument be heard. And nice playing from all hands.

Thx

Oh jeez!!!

Dana that's an amazing moment!

I love that version!! I reminds me in a sense Ed's Black Orpheus: so far and yet so close from the orginal!

One thing surprised me: the three of you are standing quite away from each other on this large stage. Still you are very closely listening and communication in the music, in the nuances, and time, in atmosphere... For me this track requires a close earphone listening. I'm sure the audience was completely catched up!

No hesitation: my favorite post of you so far!!

Thanks for sharing!
