We're finally formalizing the workshops for the summer. Keep checking back we'll have more information up every day.
For vibesworkshop subscribers there will be an additional workshop on Friday June 19th in Ireland, and Friday June 26th in Netherlands. I (Tony Miceli) will do the additional workshops. We can even plan before all together on what the workshop will be about. The workshop will be in the late afternoon or evening.

The Difference Between the Two Workshops
I recieved a couple emails of people asking if there was a difference between the two workshops.
There are a couple things I think.
Ireland will be a small and low key workshop. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and play. If you want lots of time with me then that's the spot. We can pretty much make and change our schedule to accommodate us all and get topics in etc.
Netherlands will also contain workshops with Frits and Nico. Originally Joe was coming, but he couldn't work out his schedule. This will be busier than ireland. So Netherlands is about variety. And you'll also get to try out Nico's instruments.

The hotel in Ireland for the workshop will be 54 Euro's a day. The workshop their is subsidized, so that's going to be only 30 Euro a day.

Workshop reality

If you're going to be over there at the end of Aug. why don't we seriously try to set up a workshop there. It's a little short notice but we could advertise it in some of the music magazines and websites. We should decide on a tuition, etc. I'm sure that there would be sufficient interest. The logistics of instruments, lodging, etc. would also have to be dealt with. It would also be interesting to know hown many "Vibesworkshop"ers would be able to attend. Shall we give it a go???

I have to check what's best for me. July is pretty open, but my girl is probably going to spain for a language course that month and we're gonna combine that with a vacation after that in spain. another idea
Ok Tony,
Let's see what we can do. My schedule is pretty open in july and beginning of august. If we can't really get enough people in the states I can even just come to the states to hang for a week. That would be nice anyway.
Another thought... if you're getting a grant to go to Ireland, would you have to be in Ireland for the workshop or could you get a flight to holland or Germany(that's pretty cheap if you book in advance). The thing is that if it's in Holland Germany or even france, then people here can (relatively)easily drive to the workshop and bring vibes and maybe even do stuff at Nico's or even at my parents house in the south of holland(they have a big house).
Anyway just a thought. Let's see what we can do.

Hey Tony,
I'll be able to come to the states in july. So how abou trying to set one up there too. Unfortunately I'll have to choose one of the two(Ireland or states). And I'd love to get to Philly and hang with you cats over there. I might even be able to get cheap accomadation in Philly for guys that come over. My dad has a lot of contacts there, so lets check that out too.
Eventually we could also try to set something up in Holland. Maybe somewhere in the fall?
Anyway if we pick a week somewhere in july I can plan to come over anyway.

Suggestion?
It might be more practical to do a vibe workshop/hang in the States in August, since it might be too expensive for everybody to fly to Ireland; flight, hotel, workshop costs, etc.
Although I wasn't necessarily plannig to be in the States in August I could come after Japan. Could we do it in Philly??? What does everybody think?

i just got a grant that will cover my flight and food to come to ireland. just got to dig up hotel bread and a taste on top of that. not a money making venture for me at this point, but i'd need a little something. tiny bit.
just found out today! and that's for the end of august. so i think my plan is to see how many students i can get to ireland and then see how much money we can raise and go from there.
but you're right, not a lot of students will be coming from the states, if there was interest in the states we could try something here.
but then the problem is getting a cat like you over from germany. with money being this tight who knows.
well, you know all the problems. anyway, i'll first try to ireland, maybe if you could get some germany guys there we could raise some money and get you there.
well at this point let's consider all this fantasy, and i'll keep on it.
but besides all that, you or any other pro is welcome to see how many students they can dig up and do something even if it's on there own. i mean this site is for all of us. the pros need to use it there ways and the students in there ways.
my philosophy is money is a part of this process. if you take the money out then the learning is going to suffer because the energy is going only one way. and then people will get replenished with energy and then give less.
free stuff on the internet is great, but if you pay 40 grand and go to juliard, you're going to get a lot more!!!!
