I've been listening to this for a few weeks now.
It's a great album.
Bye Bye Black Bird.... gave me the incentive to learn it.

his hand was messed up. he jammed it up into something.
he was going to cancel the session but decided not to. he could barely play with i think it was his right hand.
Ha! Insane.
Didn't know this Tony.. he sounds amazing. But just shows you, it's about what's in your head & your heart. What struck me about this session is how clear & strong the ideas are, everyone's great tone, and the listening that's going on...

I was listening to this today in fact - I love it. This is the kind of thing where you can really hear what Mike M can do, especially on the standards. It's a 2-CD set, and it's all killer. He's playing on a 3.5-octave vibe too. Everybody should check this out--
