Hello everyone at vibesworkshop!
I've been working on my marimba skills. 'Carlos' is a composition of mine, which i played with many different musicians. I always wondered what it would sound like on the marimba...here it is! Greetings from Berlin, Franz
I wrote this tune after seeing the majestic, mysterious tomb of the Romantic French poet, François-René de Chateaubriand.
Under a large cross, it is the only tomb on a petite isle just off the beach at St. Malo, France.
A striking vista unfolds around it.
This samba was done with our University of Colorado Boulder Jazz Faculty in Grusin Aud. on campus.
I have a lot of reverb on this sound. Effects on internal sounds are simply a dial on the instrument, so you can adjust on the fly.
I'm having a lot of fun using the MalletKat. There are new pads for the instrument and they feel great!
The MalletKat is a serious electronic instrument for professional percussionists. I can do so much, dampening, pitch bend, 2 instruments layered and a lot more.
Not that real title!
Me
Lee Smith - bass
Dan Monaghan - Drums
I don't know anything about him. Just checking him out and trying to figure him out.

One interesting fact is that Lee is Christian Mcbride's father. He's also a great bass player.
Hi all,
Dylan is a member of our VW community and he came over my house a few weeks ago to do some playing. Here's our version of Days of Wine and Roses. He sounds great and we always have a lot of fun playing two vibes!
