Has anyone played with these? I also was intrigued by the slap mallet. Lets see someone do a review if you have them, or better yet just a recording of you playing with them. I kinda want them, but I also don't want to waste any cash on something silly. Let me know what you think of them...

I've done some vibe/marimba gigs with a guy who had some mallets that had hollow heads with pellets inside, just like a maraca. Don't know if that is what you are referring to, but I didn't like them. The hollow head made the mallet too light and the shaker sound was very soft. It was drowned out by the notes played. Kind of a wild idea though.
